I met a traveller from an antique land who said: `two vast and trunkless legs of stone stand in the desert. near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, and wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, tell that its sculptor well those passions read which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, the hand that mocked them and the heart that fed. and on the pedestal these words appear. My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!" nothing beside remains. round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away.

Breaking Bad. A show which uses A LOT of hidden messages which are hard to spot out. Now you may be wondering why I think Walt will kill Jesse, I have my reasoning but first I want to talk about another possible death. A character we probably all hate (I do), Skyler.
Now at the beginning of season 5, episode 1 we see a flash forward of Walt in a cafe with a fry-up in front of him. That fry-up contains bacon (obviously) BUT he has cut the bacon up to shape them into a '52' as it's his birthday on that day. Now you may be wondering, what's this got to do with Skyler being killed by Walt? Well to understand this we're gonna have to rewind a bit further back.

In season 1, Walt kills Krazy 8. As we know, Walt always cut the crusts of his sandwiches as Krazy 8 didn't like the crusts, After Walt kills Krazy 8, we see Walt make his own sandwiches a lot and we always see him cutting of the crusts even though he never used to do this as he didn't mind eating the crusts. Now later on in the show after Walt kills Gus, we see him act like Gus, always taking control of every situation, his say is the only one that matters and making sure he's one step ahead. As well as this after Walt kills Mike, we see that he starts to drink Mike's special drink. Incase you haven't spotted the pattern yet, after Walt kills someone, he starts to act like them! (Cutting the crusts, acting like he's Gus and drinking the same drink as Mike). Now who always cuts Walt's bacon up into his age on his birthday? Skyler did... DUM DUM DUUM.

This is why I believe that Walt will kill Skyler due to the hidden message that whoever Walt kills, he acts like them. Now you may be wondering what about Jesse? When does he act like Jesse in a flash forward that we've seen? Well recently 17 new photos have been released for the new season. In these images we see that Jesse has a full beard now. Now rewind again and in that flash forward at the beginning of season 5, we see that Walt's beard looks almost identical to the beard that Jesse's grown. That means Walt's started to behave like Jesse in terms of the beard being the same. (Walt always has his goatee beard). Also in season 5 episode 3 Mike says to Walt and I quote "Just because you shot Jesse James, don't make you Jesse James" JESSE! They could of picked any famous bad person like Al Capone or even Pablo Escobar but they choose someone called Jesse. With the hidden messages they use in Breaking Bad, they wouldn't just pick that name randomly. Anyway that's my view on why I think Walter White kill Jesse and Skyler. What do you think? Leave your comments and please feel free to leave your views on what you think may happen.

We don't all hate Skyler. She's one of the better characters on the show. You may not like some of the things she does, but that is not what determines a good character. A good character is not someone who always does what the audience wants. Skyler is a conflicted character as well. People question her motives and decisions, when that is the point. From the beginning, this show was about the slow change of Walt as a nice family man to a cold-blooded evil Drug kingpin. This is not a show that is supposed to make you hate Skyler and make you like a terrible person like Walt. What is his reasoning for killing Skyler. She's never been in his way before. You think killing Sklyer is going to make is kids proud? Hank and Marie proud? Do you want Walt to murder everybody? Will you still like him? So him sorting bacon like Skyler did...means he has killed her, and taken on her traits? This show is not as cut and dried as you make it out to be. This is not "The adventures of Walt and Meth," so take your over simplified illogical analysis and "hidden messages" to a show that is as straight forward as you think this is. CBS will probably work. Maybe Walt does kill her, but if Skyler-haters like you rejoice, you've missed the entire point of a great TV drama.

Hey Nate,

I didn't mean to come across as so bland like that. I don't hate Skyler as much as you think I do, I was just exaggerating as I normally do haha. I love this show for so many reasons, the action in it doesn't even bother me, this show is amazing with or without it. As it says in the title this is just a mere prediction and no I have no reasoning as to why Walt will kill Skyler but then again Walt had no reason really to kill Mike like he even said he didn't have to do it, it was a kinda heat in the moment. Anyway sorry if I angered you in anyway but thank you for leaving your opinion, I appreciate your concern :)

I doubt he will kill Skylar, for one he wants her to like him again and have his family back. The reason I think he did the bacon thing was because he has been on the run for a few years and is coming back to finish things. The bacon number is symbolic to him wanting to go back to his old life. Idk just a thought!

Nope that's also a good reason why! We don't know what's going to happen though. He could kill her by accident or maybe she does something that gets her killed and it's Walt's fault!

Nice predictions. I don't agree with you, but still very nice and thoughtful.
I can't see Walt kill Skyler on purpose. When it comes to the bacon, I remember when Walt turned 51, Skyler didn't do the "bacon tradition". Walt had to ask and force her. This means, that it might be more like a tradition instead of a newly habit - if you know what i mean.

Furthermore I don't see Walt kill Jesse. It seems like they have a too strong bondage. Walt always cares about Jesse when it eventually matters.

With all this being said, I don't have any better ideas on how it will end...

Fair enough. I think it's possible now seeing as Walt has gone crazy and Vince Gilligan said it's going to be a HUGE bloodbath so lots of deaths to come. Plus I've seen the beginning to the first episode of the new season and let's just say shits gone down ;)

Having watched season 1 eps 1 again, take a closer look at the last car wash scene, where Walt is pushing a blue barrel across the parking lot. Looks a lot like him pushing a barrel of precursor around. Well, while he's having a coughing fit, in the background you see a woman's silhouette. In the next scene he is diagnosed with cancer. I can't help but think that woman was Lydia.

I agree that Walt will kill Jessie. That scene in the last episode where Walt and Sal met Jessie out in the dessert was reminiscent of a good old fashioned mob movie. Walt hugs and kisses Jessie, in a very weird way - almost as if it was meant as his final goodbye to Jessie. When Jessie called Walt out, Walt did not try to BS him any further he just walked over and gave him a hug and kiss - the kiss of death!

I like this find that you have pointed out from that episode and would agree with you on that, We will just have to wait see if Jessee's death will occur in these next episodes.
